About

I’m a former professional game developer living in Dortmund, Germany.

I started making maps for Quake 3 around 2006 and worked with various editors, engines, tools and games over the years, among them Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike Source and Global Offensive, Doom 3, UT2004 and UT4.

I began working at Piranha Bytes in 2012 as an environment art intern, became lead environment artist in 2015 and left the studio in 2018.

After that, I was a freelancer for a couple of years and had two other jobs as an employer. I worked in advertising, archvis, VR, industrial design and created Blueprint logic in Unreal.

After identifying with my jobs, work and video game creation for a large part of my life, I became increasingly disillusioned and unhappy with the games and design industry. I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life in front of a computer just to keep up with the ever changing workflows, tools and needed skills.

So I left the industry and – as of August 2026 – I’m now becoming a gardener instead.
